NEWS FROM A BRONX TALE

A BRONX TALE'S CHAZZ PALMINTERI FEATURED ON BLOOMBERG TV'S "EVENING EDITION" TONIGHT
FRIDAY NOVEMBER 30 BETWEEN 6-7 PM

Chazz Palminteri, star and writer of Broadway's A BRONX TALE will be featured tonight on Bloomberg's TV's "Evening Edition" hosted by Mike Schneider, live between 6:30-7 PM. The interviewed is scheduled for 6:45 PM Check local listings, or www.bloomberg.com for more information.

A BRONX TALE is playing on Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street).

Academy Award nominated actor Chazz Palminteri resumed performances last night in his acclaimed show, A BRONX TALE, directed by Tony Award-winner Jerry Zaks. The show opened Thursday October 25 for a limited engagement to run through February 10.

Beginning December 9, an additional performance on Sundays at 7 PM has been added (for the month of December only).

During the strike, Palminteri was honored with a portrait at Tony’s DiNapoli Restaurant in Times Square. Also, at Town Hall, he held a question-and-answer session with students from 13 New York City high schools who had tickets to one of the cancelled performances.

A BRONX TALE was first mounted off Broadway in 1989 and helped establish Palminteri as a writer and actor with a distinct voice. In A BRONX TALE, Palminteri brings 18 characters to vivid life, depicting a rough childhood on Bronx streets populated by a cast of friends and enemies.

Performing the show in Los Angeles and New York, Palminteri caught the attention of studios, producers and directors – all of whom wanted to make the film version – without him. Palminteri turned down a million dollar offer for the film rights, despite having $200 in his bank account at the time. Robert DeNiro came to see the show, and brought both it and Palminteri to the screen, making his directorial debut in the process.

A BRONX TALE produced on Broadway by Go Productions in association with Jujamcyn Theaters. Lighting design is by Paul Gallo, set design by James Noone, and original music and sound design by John Gromada. Mr. Palminteri's wardrobe is supplied by Italian menswear designer ISAIA.
