Film star Emily Mortimer (Lars and the Real Girl, Match Point), now starring in the world premiere of Jez Butterworth’s PARLOUR SONG, sat down live with CW 11 Morning News host Emily Frances this morning to discuss making her Off-Broadway debut at Atlantic Theater Company in PARLOUR SONG and filming Martin Scorcese’s new movie.

PARLOUR SONG, directed by Atlantic artistic director Neil Pepe, and also starring Chris Bauer (HBO’s “True Blood,” CBS’ "Numb3ers") and Jonathan Cake (Almost An Evening, Cymbeline) opens this Wednesday, March 5th for a limited engagement through March 29th, 2008 Off-Broadway at Atlantic Theater Company at the Linda Gross Theater (336 West 20th Street).

PARLOUR SONG marks the return of Olivier Award®-winning British playwright and screenwriter Jez Butterworth to Atlantic, where his plays Mojo and The Night Heron were both produced, and his first world premiere at the company.

Butterworth takes on domestic paranoia in his inimitably sly and incisive style in PARLOUR SONG, which explores what happens when two ordinary people discover they hate who they have become. Butterworth reveals a world where all is not what it seems, when a demolitions (Bauer) expert suspects his wife (Mortimer) is stealing from him.

PARLOUR SONG will play Tuesday through Friday at 8p, Saturday at 2p and 8p, Sundays at 3p.Tickets are $55.00 and available by calling Ticket Central at 212-279-4200 (ticketcentral.com).

ATLANTIC THEATER COMPANY MAIN STAGE AT THE LINDA GROSS THEATER is located at 336 West 20th Street (between 8th and 9th Avenues).
