Stephen Lang, star of Roundabout Theatre Company’s Beyond Glory, will be interviewed on The American Theatre Wing’s “Downstage Center” on XM Radio channel 28. Stephen will appear as the special guest on Friday, July 27th, at 6PM. The interview will be repeated on Saturday, July 28th at noon, Sunday, July 29th at 7PM, and Wednesday, August 1st at midnight.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) is proud to present the New York premiere of Beyond Glory, written by and starring Stephen Lang, directed by Robert Falls, from the book by Larry Smith.

Beyond Glory is playing a limited engagement through August 19th, 2007 at the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street).

In Stephen Lang's theatrical adaptation of Larry Smith's book, Beyond Glory: Medal of Honor Heroes in Their Own Words, Lang presents the stories of eight veterans from World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, rendering first hand accounts of the actions which resulted in each of them receiving the nation’s highest military award, the Medal of Honor. Beyond Glory gathers these men together in the present to look back on the defining moments of their lives
and to examine the meaning of courage, duty and, ultimately, humility.

David Hyde Pierce is the winner of the 2007 Tony Award® for Best Actor in a Musical for his performance. The production was nominated for eight 2007 Tony Awards®, including Best Musical. Stephen Lang, starring in Roundabout Theatre Company’s Beyond Glory, will be featured on NY1’s “On Stage” this weekend beginning Saturday, July 7th on channel 1. Tune in to see Stephen Lang sit down with NY1’s Clover Lalehzar and discuss his experience portraying eight Medal of Honor recipients.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) is proud to present the New York premiere of Beyond Glory, written by and starring Stephen Lang, directed by Robert Falls, from the book by Larry Smith.

Beyond Glory is playing a limited engagement through August 19th, 2007 at the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street).

In Stephen Lang's theatrical adaptation of Larry Smith's book, Beyond Glory: Medal of Honor Heroes in Their Own Words, Lang presents the stories of eight veterans from World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, rendering first hand accounts of the actions which resulted in each of them receiving the nation’s highest military award, the Medal of Honor. Beyond Glory gathers these men together in the present to look back on the defining moments of their lives and to examine the meaning of courage, duty and, ultimately, humility.

In 2004, the world premiere of Beyond Glory was presented in Arlington, VA by Tribute Productions. In April 2005, under a unique partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts and the Department of Defense, Beyond Glory toured international military installations, including the Persian Gulf. It was also presented as special performance in the United States Senate. From September 10th – October 9th, 2005, the production played a highly acclaimed limited engagement at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago.

INHERIT THE WIND star Brian Dennehy will be interviewed on Theater Talk this Friday, July 6th at 12:30 AM. Theater Talk airs on WNET, PBS (Channel 13 in New York).

Mr. Dennehy currently stars as Matthew Harrison Brady in INHERIT THE WIND. He has won Tony® Awards for his performances on Broadway in Death of a Salesman (1999) and Long Day’s Journey Into Night (2003).

INHERIT THE WIND starring two time Tony® Award winners Christopher Plummer and Brian Dennehy began previews at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street) on March 19th and opened on April 12th. It will end its limited engagement this Sunday, July 8th. Tony® Award winner Doug Hughes directs.

Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee’s legendary 1955 drama INHERIT THE WIND is a fictionalized retelling of the famous 1925 “Monkey Trial,” in which science teacher John Scopes was tried and convicted for teaching Darwin’s theory of evolution, violating a Tennessee law that forbade teaching any theory that conflicted with the biblical conception of divine creation. Mr. Dennehy plays the role of attorney Matthew Harrison Brady (based on William Jennings Bryan), and Mr. Plummer plays attorney Henry Drummond (based on Clarence Darrow).

INHERIT THE WIND, often considered one of the great plays of the twentieth century, first played on Broadway in 1955 at the National Theatre (now the Nederlander), with Paul Muni and Ed Begley earning Tony® Awards for their performances as Drummond and Brady, respectively. The popular 1960 movie version starred Spencer Tracy and Fredric March, and three television adaptations have also been filmed.
